This is a custom listing for Arvina. The faces of the gear will be made from solid hardwoods: walnut and white oak. The outer ring, center gear, and one small gear will be walnut. The remaining small gears will be white oak.

This gear set is 6.5" in diameter and made from beautiful baltic birch plywood. It's been hand finished with natural organic boiled linseed oil. It spins freely with satisfying smoothness. (Stain colors may vary significantly from the pictures.)
The gears are unique in that they are non-circular, this makes it especially mesmerizing to play with. I carefully designed it so that the gears are "captive" within the model, this means you can pick it up and hold it and actually touch and feel all the gears. There are no screws, mounting plates, or axles – it is entirely self contained and made only of wood.
I can make you one using custom wood species however the time to ship and cost would likely change slightly. Please message me if you have preferences and we can figure it out.
