Lots of detail at every turn! Take a second and even a third look at this incredible Steampunk pistol handmade in our own workshop by the Curiosity Shopper Crew. A full-size museum quality prop "Arc Discharge Gun" created in the imagination of the artist and duplicated nowhere – it's one of a kind. Looks like it could have been assembled in the laboratory of Nikola Tesla. The pistol is made from a variety of materials, mostly metals. Lots of brass along with some steel and lead pewter. The grip is made of wood, ergonomically carved for a comfortable fit in the hand and finished in a dark red mahogany tone. There's a glass vial full of orange colored oil that serves as a "fuel cell". There's a tiny clear glass agitator in the vial to help break the oil up into finer droplets for visual effect when the gun is moved. A micro toggle switch serves as the safety. Archaic cloth-wrapped wire and an embellished vintage pressure switch add just the right touch of antiquity. For kicks and giggles we also added a removable metal safety shield that fits around the neck of the glass vial when the gun is on display. The shield is labeled with a warning: "Do Not Watch The Arc" and "Wear Proper Eye Protection". Everything has been given an aged and somewhat worn appearance to create the illusion of use and age. Some parts are even blackened and scored suggesting field use and perhaps misuse or malfunction. A Steampunk accent this cunningly contrived had to have a suitable stand that complimented the Neo-Victorian aura of the pistol so we have provided this beautiful brass and hardwood display stand. Aged brass fabrication and an elegantly routed turned walnut base. The knurled brass knob on the side loosens and tightens a clamp that neatly fits around the barrel of the gun. The gun can be easily removed for handling when desired. We have provided photos both with flash and without so you can get a better feel for texture and color. To be clear, this gun is a prop only, albeit a beautiful one. It has no function beyond it's ability to turn heads. There are four moving parts: the trigger button, the safety toggle switch, the removable vial shield, and the glass agitator bead and oil in the glass vial. Everything is fitted with hardware and bolted together. Both the pistol and the display stand come with your single order. A truly unique Steampunk art object. Only one available. Enjoy!
