DESCRIPTION.
The vest showcases eye-catching shoulder embellishments made out of cotton velvet (select from tea-dyed or pale iris blue) finished with cotton crochet lace in beige and fixed into place with brass buttons. The vest comes fully lined, and is made from organic cotton corduroy tea-dyed and distressed by me to replicate the antique look of Victorian garments. Cropped, with an open style, it is also embellished with strands of vintage pearlescent beads and a handmade brooch using USA-made brass. The brooch set is adjustable and the glass strands can be hooked onto any of the brass buttons.
Designed to match bustle skirts and pantaloons, the vest is fitting for romantic dress up; or, accessorise it for 'heavy' steampunk.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Tea-dyed corduroy: To protect the tea-dyed colour from fading, hand wash the vest in cold water and line dry in partial shade away from the full sun. Use colourless/clear eco-friendly detergent with non-optical brighteners. Remove the brooch and strands of beads before wash. Although the vest comes with non-removable buttons, they are rustproof and thus the vest can be safely hand washed.
Blue corduroy: Same instructions as above, except the vest can be line dried outside in the sun.
Brass Brooch: The brass pieces used to make your brooch are finished with a professional lead-free oxidation process. The brass manufacturer recommends the following cleaning instructions: use a damp cloth only (no jewellery detergents, special cleaning cloths etc, as these will damage the surface of the brass).
POSTAGE COSTS
The postage costs for the vest are $24.50 AUD for international customers and $10 AUD for Australian customers. International delivery takes 2 weeks on average. Your package will be shipped with tracking included.
Purchases of 2 or more items receive a postage discount, which is automatically calculated upon adding items to cart. Please rest assured that any overpaid postage will be refunded, once I post your package and receive confirmation of the exact postage costs. If I undercharge, however, I will pay the additional postage fees at my own expense.

* Vintage 'pearlescent' 6mm bead strands made of glass in an ivory colour (vintage stock & made in Japan; period unknown but my guess would be post-1950s)
* Rustproof brass buttons cast in South Korea (labelled lead-free)
* Organic 100% cotton corduroy in pale iris blue or in tea-dyed (fair trade fabric woven in India)
* Organic cotton velvet (pre-washed) 100% heavy-weight cotton fabric at 350gsm; soft texture with a bit of a crushed velvet look (fair trade woven in India)
* Cotton crochet lace in beige colour
