This stunning Steampunk jewellery set combines a generously embellished antique pocket watch with softly tumbled, richly hued emerald green Zoisite stone beads.
It begins with a layered base comprised of a Victorian style oval filigree topped with a split spike edged filigree bisected by an elongated filigree. The oval filigree is glazed in antique gold with bits of verdigris showing through. The elongated portion which shows at the sides has indentions meant for gems, and they have been filled with six sparkling clear diamantine crystals.
Atop this assemblage is affixed an antique Waltham pocket watch circa 1912. It is lovingly embellished with an array of layered vintage and antique watch movement gears, three of which are topped with an amber crystal, a diamantine crystal, and a vintage mossy hued cabochon. In addition, upon the balance cock rests a tiny dragonfly. The dragonfly's body is glazed in emerald green and its wings are brushed with an iridescent glaze for additional sparkle and colour. The watch movement is covered with delicately complex guilloche engraving which is revealed as the piece moves in the light. The reverse side of this portion of the pendant is completed with a circular brass blank with a floral filigree in its centre.
From the base of the oval filigree dangles a deep emerald green Zoisite stone topped with a faceted bronze toned crystal bead. There are inclusions in the stone that show as deepest indigo. The stone and those in the matching earrings are gently tumbled to give them a satiny sheen rather than a high gloss finish which contrasts nicely with the sparkling/shining watch movement. The earring stone beads are topped with matching bronze toned crystal beads to the one in the necklace pendant.
The necklace pendant in its entirety measures 3 3/4" in length x 1 7/8" in width and is equipped with an 18 1/2" chain which is bisected on each side with short lengths of metal beaded chain.
The earrings measure 1 3/8" in length x 5/8" in width.
