This lovely chemise is made of 100% cotton gauze fabric.
Is hand made and can be worn off the shoulders or up on the shoulders. Has very full sleeves elastic at the wrists and around the ruffled neckline .Like a medieval slip, chemises are worn under all gowns, bodices and skirts.Ladies and saucy wenches alike of the period wore them to absorb perspiration (not that we sweat heaven forbid la..) and oils to protect their more costly garments.
Looks beautiful under a Irish dress or your favorite renaissance wear.
The corset belt shown is sold in our store and it looks really lovely paired with this chemise
