Absolutely incredible antique 1860s Victorian netted lace bonnet with small raffia flowers!
This item was apart of a museum exhibit for the past 50 years and cannot wait to be used and loved!

The top of the bonnet looks like dyed horse hair which was used regularly during this period.
There is wire framing on the inside of the rim and across the top as well.
Originally worn as mourning attire for a grieving wife or mother on the back of the head.
Condition: Considering the age of this beauty it is in pretty good condition and still wearable. The silk lining is very thready and broken with many tears. The new owner may want to have it replace
