Collar, Selfridges shop girl era in cream lace. by littlecopper
70.00 AUD
This lovely lace collar is straight from Downton Abbey, All That Jazz, Titanic or Selfridges when a removable lace was the fashion. Removable so it could be laundered separately instead of washing the whole garment & also so it could be used on more than one garment. Economy was a way of life for a maid. It hails from the Edwardian era – roughly the 1920- 40s. It is a cream colour and in good condition, just waiting to be reinvented or used to finish off that amazing period costume. As seen in the photo, it has one tiny stain (which may come out if laundered-I have not tried.)
