DESCRIPTION
Navigate the seas and skies with the steam navigation capelet! A versatile costume piece for steampunk conventions, weddings, and all other day and evening events calling for steampunk dress-up, the capelet matches well with pantaloons, a vest, and a long-sleeved shirt for unisex steampunk, or with bloomers, mini and long bustle skirts, and long petticoats, as well as for dressing up plain bustiers.
The steam navigation capelet is available for order in creamy gold, dusty pink, or green cotton damask, and is fully lined in plain cream cotton drill. Fitting over the shoulders, the capelet is cropped in design with the length at the front sitting just above the bust and with the back forming a slight 'V' shape. The front of the capelet closes with gold-coloured brass hooks, but the design also supports an open front. Forming an arch shape in avant-garde and steampunk flare, the collar is made of two rows of 'pleats' interfaced with heavyweight polyester for structure and is decorated with four brass buttons on each row.

*******Size (select from drop-down menu) – Note that a size XS is quite small. Size S is recommended for petite adult women. The shoulder width given below are clothing measurements, not body measurements. For a comfortable fit, the wearer's back shoulder width should be 3.5 inches less than the shoulder width of the capelet itself. For instance, if the wearer has a back shoulder width of 15 inches, then a size S (garment shoulder width 18.5'') capelet is recommended. For help with sizing, please message me!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAPELET
Hand wash the capelet in cold water with mild detergent and line dry (recommended: lay flat to dry or on a clothing hanger). Try to avoid getting any detergent on the (removable) brass hooks . The hooks are jewellery-grade brass, and the brass manufacturer recommends cleaning it with a regular damp cloth only.
Use a hot iron appropriate for medium-weight cotton. If the collars ever get crushed, ironing them with a medium-hot setting will help restore the shape.
POSTAGE COSTS
The postage costs for the capelet are $15 AUD for international customers and $6 AUD for Australian customers. International orders under $150 AUD ship by regular airmail (without signature delivery & without tracking), and usually delivers in 2 weeks after despatch.
Purchases of 2 or more items receive a postage discount, which is automatically calculated upon adding items to cart. Please rest assured that any overpaid postage will be refunded, once I post your package and receive confirmation of the exact postage costs. If I undercharge, however, I will pay the additional postage fees at my own expense.
