The Valentina jacket is full of romantic detail. The tall collar flatters and riveted edges plunge to a brass ring with snap closure. Contrast stitching highlights all the Victorian styled tucks on front, back and sleeves. Leg o'Mutton sleeves have a subtle puffed shoulder and a snug forearm with riveted detail, finishing in a scalloped and ruffled cuff. *The brass ring is an excellent place to hang an intriguing ornament.
Excellent to keep you warmer while showcasing the rest of your ensemble. Fabric is a medium weight cotton with some stretch. Tall collar can be worn up or folded down. Please note – I designed the collar with 2 layers of fabric, no stiffener, no wire. It's going to do it's thing, sometimes standing upright for photo ops, then relaxing on the dance floor. Please do not expect a collar immune to the laws of gravity.
Colors~
~ Black w/red pinstripe ruffle. The red is an antique russet tone. This can be a fun mix with my bloomers or the steampunk skirt. (Dye lots vary, please double check w/me if you are seeking a perfect match.)
~ Medium brown w/dark pinstripe ruffle. The detail stitching is black, not as constrast-y on this one. Fun match w/ my bloomers or steampunk skirt, links at bottom of listing.
~ Black w/ black lace ruffle. Contrast stitching is antique tan that beautifully highlights all the detail on this design.
SIZE ~
Width of shoulders will be the main concern. Sleeves are extra long and meant to cover some of your hand. Forearm is fairly narrow. I am 5'9" with broad shoulders and I can wear all 4 sizes, though medium is my favorite.
Small – shoulder width = 17" sleeve length = 24"
Medium – shoulder width = 18" sleeve length = 25"
Large – shoulder width = 18 1/2" sleeve length = 26"
Xl – shoulder width = 19" sleeve length = 27"
