Very comfortable and light, yet durable enough to serve you not only as a fashion accessory, but also as a real deal safety goggles. In fact, we wear goggles of this design while working in our workshop. They provide considerable protection against dust and metal particles, and you can wear them for hours without notice. Moreover, if you equip these goggles with standard 50mm welding lenses, you'll get a fine welding goggles. As all of our Steampunk goods – it is handcrafted from scratch, using high quality authentic materials and traditional craft techniques.
Here is the list, that provides you with all the required information about this fine product and it's properties:
Frames –
Inner parts – handmade of 2mm solid brass.
Exterior parts – handmade of 1.5mm solid brass.
Lenses –
standard 50mm diameter lenses, made of 3mm perspex. Any other 50mm lens will fit in the frame, including standard glass lenses for welding goggles.
Plating on the frames – made of 0.4mm brass sheet. Brass was blackened chemically.
Oculars – made of 2mm veg-tanned leather, finished with Fiebing's "Atom Wax" to achieve additional smoothness and rich gloss.
Padding rims – made of soft 1mm calfskin. The padding is hand-stitched to the oculars with waxed polyester thread.
Strap – made of 2mm veg-tanned leather, finished with Fiebing's "Atom Wax". The straps are 1.55 cm wide and long enough to fit even the largest head sizes and being worn over aviator caps or cylinder hats.
Strap buckle – customly made from scratch, blackened and "brushed off" solid brass buckle and leather loop. Very durable.
Screws and nuts – solid brass. Threading is standard 3mm.
Leather edges – burnished and waxed.

As a standard shipping option we offer First Class shipping, that usually takes 2-3 weeks.
As an upgrade you can choose Express Mail Service (EMS), which is USPS Express in the US and Express Post in other locations. This option allows delivery in 5-10 days.
We provide tracking information right after the order is shipped for both options.

In addition to all this, we want to add some important notes. Practically, all our goggles are made from solid brass and veg-tanned leather (sometimes using mild steel, tin or copper rivets) – we don't use "faux leather", synthetic materials or plastic.The only unauthentic parts are perspex lenses and polyester thread – and this is only for reasons of safety and reliability – we do not want shards of broken glass getting into eyes of our clients, nor do we want ocular padding falling apart after two or three years of use. Our products are meant to last.
