I have taken a plain new key cabinet and altered it in a steampunk style.
I textured the front to resemble antique rough wood. The whole box has been painted in brown acrylics, with highlights of antique gold. For the front panel, I distress-inked card, stamped the key design in black archival ink and gave it a coating for an aged effect. The sides, top, inside of door and back are dry brush painted in brown to give it a wood grain look.
I have lined the inside back with vintage style papers. Designs of paper may vary, but all will be a brown based vintage style.
There are six small hooks on which you can hang keys or jewellery.
The cabinet measures 23cm/9" tall x 18cm/7" wide, 6cm/2.25" deep at its widest points.
It will be posted Recorded Delivery within the UK, International Tracked worldwide, packed in a box with plenty of bubble wrap.
***I have made a few boxes in this design, but all will be slightly different as I mixed the paint colours myself and the metallic highlights and textured effect will vary. Also, as I can't get the same vintage style papers as I started out with, the lining paper will vary inside, but will be of a brown vintage style. The photos show more than one box, so you can see they are all pretty similar!***
