An orphaned silvery car key is born again as very cool Steampunk / Biker Chick / Rockabilly wearable art! The layered pieces are carefully soldered together for permanence; the bail is bolted in place. The only glue is the bit holding the rhinestone in place. This is built like a tank! I have painted the cast metal winged heart for a burst of color, lightly distressed it to give it the feel of some age, then top coated with clear resin for permanence. The large 15mm central stone is German glass from the 1930's, in tourmaline green. The pendant rides on a vintage brass rope chain.
This Insignia measures 3 inches / 75mm long with a 1-3/8" / 36mm wingspan. Signed and dated. The vintage brass rope chain is 24 inches long with a spring ring clasp. Shown with the chain shortened to about 18" (for the sake of a better photo) and will shorten it for you, if you request it during Checkout.
