This steampunk necklace combines cogs, gears, beads, a spider, and a tiny rose for a fantastical look! The focal section is comprised of a variety of cogs and gears in a silver-tone base. I layered cogs in a variety of colors and sizes and included a cog that spins. Then I added a spider for a bit of edginess and a golden rose to show that beauty endures in the most unlikely places.
Three sizes of corrugated beads in antiqued silver-tone and grey lead away from the focal. They have a look that seems to echo working gears. These beads are interspersed with small brown porcelain beads, and gold-tone spacers pick up on the color of the rose. A brass toggle completes the look. The necklace measures 21 inches in length.
