Beautiful Oliver No.9 Typewriter (aka 'Batwing')
Production date circa 1917 (102 years old!) back from the day when all products on market were great quality products like this typewriter. Model No. 9 of the bat-winged family known as the Oliver Typewriter was produced between 1915 to 1922
Single ribbon – 13 mm black (works, some life left in this one)
Adjustable margins with push button trigger
Glossy finish in good condition (this machine has been obviously repainted at some point during its extra long life, you can see underneath black paint some shapes showing damage to old olive colored paint – see photos)
Amazing red details – accents: two ribbon holders, in the middle red dot near paper pointer, two levels – 'caps locks' on both sides of keyboard, in the back red cover.
Unfortunately the pencil holder is missing.

This typewriter is very good mechanical condition and gorgeous to look at, check carefully photos to confirm that. It will look fabulous in any location.
I’ve tested each key, shifted and un-shifted and they have a nice snap and sharp sound. The spacebar, shift-bar key and backspace key work as well. The return carriage is smooth, and the bar that holds the paper in place is good. There is a little bit of life left in the ribbon. The overall cosmetic appearance of this typewriter is very attractive. Mechanically this typewriter has been well cared for; see photos for details ; I would tell that it is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
All elements work well and it is fully operational.
