Jet and amber pin with beads made from sea-washed Whitby jet collected by us on North Yorkshire's "Jurassic Coast". (The pins are not sterling silver but will not tarnish.)
Whitby jet is the fossilised remains of the ancester of the monkey-puzzle tree and is 180 million years old.
We make these pins out of jet beads that are often irregular as the shape is dictated by the piece of jet itself as we find it on the beach. The amber is a natural product and these beads vary in size and shape too. PLEASE NOTE: the pin shown is an example and the ones shipped will be similar but not exactly the same.
