18 century corset Rococo Marie Antoinette Queen Pair of bodies Stay
This corset is accurately recreates the right shape of the 18th Century and based on illustrations given in Diderot's Encyclopedia for stays with straps. It is perfect for underneath a Rococo costume, or wear your corset over a chemise and show it!
This corset is constructed of two layers: floral rosé fabric, strong cotton inside and light blue lining fabric. It is laced back with blue coloured laces trough two-piece eyelets and can be laced fully closed or with a gap between the centre back and centre front edges. The tabs at the waist act as a buffer and hand embroidered (floss) with suitable aquamarine yarn.
It is boned in front and light boned in back with rigilene and steel boning.
The binding is completely hand finished. The straps tie at the side front for adjustable length.
