Halcyon MK49 Black Leather Classic Motorcycle Goggles/Classic Flying Goggles
Soft Leather Material – Fitted with high quality leather, hand stitched over soft padded foam. The Halcyon goggles mask fits securely and comfortably against the face, providing comfort for long journeys.
Anti-Fog Protected – The brass goggle frames have four small vents pressed into the metal with the opening facing away from direction of travel. The vents allow just enough airflow behind the lenses to prevent misting, but not enough to cause irritation to the eyes when travelling at speed in windy conditions or cold weather conditions.
WW2 Classic British Style – The Halcyon goggle style has remained the same for over 70 years, as first worn by RAF pilots during world war two. Moving through the ages the traditional goggle style has continued to be a unique and fashionable whether you are a Classic Motorcyclist, an open top vintage car owner, a Mod with an old Lambretta or Vespa or even a Steampunk enthusiasts.
Unique Goggle Features – Over the many years Halcyon have introduced some additional features to our Traditional Mark 49 Goggle:

Redesigned Headband Clips – This allows the goggles to be worn over open faced crash helmets while maintaining a close fit to the face.

Adjustable Nose screw – The nose-bridge screw is made from a high quality stainless steel threaded screw, which can be adjusted between the eye frames to allow for perfect comfort

Non-Slip Silicone Headband – Three silicone strips have been placed inside of the elasticated headband to ensure the goggles remain securely in place against the surface of a motorcycle helmet or when worn over a traditional leather or driving helmet or pilot headgear.

Let me first say: these are excellent goggles: comfortable, safe, effective, stylish.
Then there is the social aspect. These goggles attract attention!
I ride round the world with these goggles – India, Pakistan, Nepal, Iran, Cambodia, VietNam, Lao, Thailand, Oz, Myanmar…..OK, so I am showing off – but it’s true, and every place I went, these goggles were a show stopper.
And before you young guys start thinking the scene is all yours: I am 62, I ride Harleys, Enfields, BMWs, vintage stuff – and EVERYWHERE, despite my senility, I get admiring glances and questions about my goggles.
My current standard response is: ‘Biggles, Captain, RAF retired, and what is YOUR name?’
You probably have to be over 50 to get the joke – but in any case, these are great goggles!

|Proper Goggles,
On the box it says, “3mm thick replacement lenses are fitted, either in laminated glass tested to BS 4110 OR in moulded and coated polycarbonate tested to BS EN138.” These ones have BS 4110 stamped on the chrome-plated brass, so be aware that these are glass. Yes, glass and brass. I believe it is possible to have custom prescription lenses fitted if so desired.
One last thing to know before buying MK49’s; the different colours available. I think the chrome and black looks the best but you might prefer antique brown (or possibly the white leather if your name is Penelope Pitstop).
