Solid cast iron. Fully intact without cracks or breaks.
Incredible patina with some original paint intact on the highly detailed & ornate art deco patterns. Dated 1927 by the American Seating Company on the interior.
One side has a flip-down arm on the inside that would support the seat, and the other still has the original wiring leading to the downward-facing nightlight pocket.
I'd love to see a craftsman use these as the base for a console table, bench, or in some other repurposed fashion.
Dimensions: ~ 23" x 10" each.
