This leather bat barrette is adorably gothic! The design is equal parts campy and spooky; it's a fabulous and functional goth accessory 🙂

MEASUREMENTS + MATERIALS

✭ Measures about 5" wide by 3" tall
✭ Hole spacing = 3.5", which is a medium fit
✭ Wood hair stick = 6.5", metal hair sticks = 7.5"
✭ Hand crafted with tooling leather, artist grade acrylic paints, and high quality hairstick

This style has a medium fit, meaning that it will hold a medium sized section of hair. If your hair is fine, it may hold it all in a bun. If your hair is very long or thick, it will probably work best for half up styles.

You can choose your stick type using the drop down menu at the right. Here's some additional info about the sticks to help with your decision making:

✫ The metal sticks are handcrafted by Nicholas and Felice, and they measure about 7.5" total (including the little spiral at the end). These are available in aluminum (silver tone), brass and copper available. The aluminum tends to be a bit more malleable than the others, so it bends more easily than the other metals. One customer said that she needed to use additional pins to hold her hair in a log roll when using an aluminum stick, though the aluminum sticks hold my thick waist length hair nicely so YMMV.

✫ The black wood sticks have a shiny lacquer finish, and they measure about 6.5" long. If you choose the wooden stick option, the hole spacing will be slightly smaller (just a tad over 3") and it will not hold quite as much hair as one with a wire stick.

This piece is part of an open ended series. Since it's handcrafted, you should expect minor variances from one to the next. Your hair toy will be of the same style, color and quality as the ones shown.
