Not steel boned. Nice as a costume item, but not strong enough.,
I was never expecting this item to pull in like a real corset, but after a little wear the lack of strength due to the apparent lack of the advertised steel boning is more serious than I’d realised.
The front quickly started to bow sufficiently that you could see flesh between one front clasp and the next (this despite the inside flap that is supposed to cover the gap.) I wasn’t even tightening the laces after putting it on. This is a serious lack of strength.
