This Steampunk rifle was handcrafted from a Nerf Vulcan. It went through 12 steps in the painting process to capture the desired look and to ensure durability. Accents were added to convey the Steampunk aesthetic. We strive to make our Steampunk pieces appear totally realistic, including wear and weathering that would be appropriate. In addition any added Steampunk theme parts are fabricated to appear functional, not just decorative.
It was made to be a costume piece, and not designed to still shoot.
Specific parts added to the Caledonian Railway Rifle are: multiple diameters of copper pipe and fittings, flex pipe, gauges, plumbing parts, handmade sight, bullet belt, and several other miscellaneous parts.
This is a great Steampunk festival or cosplay piece or just for display. It is designed to be light enough to carry, but appear to be the real thing.
Because this is a toy gun, it can be confused with a real weapon. As such, our shop is not responsible for any handling of this piece that causes any confusion or harm.
