   When ordering this I followed the size guide which suggested a small would fit although I was at the larger end of this size, so I was unsure whether to go for the small or try the medium. I opted for the small, I am a size 10-12. After placing the order I then read some of the reviews and regretted my decision as many of the comments stated that the sizes ran way too small. I decided to try it anyway and am so glad I did. Admittedly when it arrived and I attempted to try it on my first thoughts were that there was no way it was ever going to fit. However I loosened out the lacing as much as I could I was then able to fasten it up with the zip at the front. Then came the fun part, I tightened up the lacing bit by bit and found that it was a perfect fit. Yes it is very tight, but thats the point with corsets, they give you a fantastic shape but were not designed for comfort. It all comes down to personal preference in the end and whether you just like the look of this item to wear as a top or whether you want it to also do its job of slimming and shaping your body, in which case the size guide was spot on for me.

   I am a Size 14 , but I ordered a XL just in case it was a little tight , and was so small…. But the item itself is lovely and very good quality , I recommend the item to anybody , but would recommend a bigger size.

   The corset is what you would expect from the cost. There is lots of great detail as seen in the picture, adjustable shoulder straps and a modesty piece at the back. The material is tough and not likely to rip, and the bones inside are reasonably firm. The corset-style is fastened by thick material straps that would be difficult to snap which is very good and the netting fastened to the top is sewn securely and would be hard to rip off.

   However, if you are anything above a B-cup I would think very carefully about purchasing this item as it really squashes your chest down and makes you appear a lot larger than you are. If you still want this item but are larger than a B-cup I would go for two sizes bigger than what you usually are. I selected one size higher than what the size

   -guide set me as, but I still felt too restricted around the bust (and I’m a D-cup). Also, and unfortunately, in mine the front buckles of the chain attachments are rusty and one of the chains have snapped, though I am sure this is a one off and does not occur in all circumstances.

   If you are slightly bigger around the bust but still want to buy a corset I would recommend the Buckle-up Steampunk Corset by the same seller. This took slighter longer to arrive and be dispatched but it looks awesome and fits really well – I was actually able to order my usual size and it fits amazingly well.    is no zip, instead there is a modesty piece both at the front and at the corset-style back. It also has slits up the size that can be fastened to cover up if you don’t like the idea of your hips being on-show. Also, it comes in both black and coffee colour, it’s cheaper than this one and because of the material it looks like leather but is quite supple and can stretch a little, which makes it comfortable to wear.
