Stare into darkness.
Stark, heavy, frightening. Some words used to describe the Carpathian mountains, and very apropos when talking about the "Wayward Voivode" large Gothic cross.
Designed with a nod to iron adornments found in cathedrals around Wallachia and olde Belgrad, this stunning and substantial cross is more then it appears.
Subtle sculpted details mingle with fiercely strong lines, levels, and ideal proportions. Mounted like a grim memento mori at the cross' center is a large, very heavy, solid 14kt European yellow gold skull. Highly detailed features including inset blackened eyes and nasal passage, with sinister-almost-imperceptibly elongated upper and lower canines.
The trinity bail features 51 granules representative Jeremiah 51:32 "And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted."
An unforgettable fashion piece, a nod to historical mysticism and treachery, and a potent reminder to never grow too bold as to call down your own undoing.
Approximately two ounces of solid precious metal including a 24" drawn cable chain. Luxuriously hand finished solid rich yellow gold and blackened English sterling silver. 2.58" x 1.75"

A Note From Deric:
This is a really massive and show-stopping piece of sculpture, the interplay of contrasts like weighty metal versus negative space, and the starkness of the linear wicked features versus the organic, unnerving skull make for something truly special here. You won't be forgotten, and you won't regret bringing this cross to bear.
