Edwardian Cotton Blouse

An essential item for any period wardrobe whether you are recreating Titanic, Downton, or World War One. Also ideal or steampunk and neo-victorian.

This high necked blouse fastens at the back with mother of pearl buttons down it’s length. The trimming is copied from an image in a Sear’s catalogue featuring delicate pin tucks down the front and stylish lace trimmings. It is perfect for creating the ‘poute

r-pigeon’ look of the early 1900s. At the bottom the blouse is gathered onto a waistband which sits neatly inside your skirt, so no coming untucked and dishevelled. The long sleeves feature pin tuck detail at the shoulders with the fullness gathered into he cuff at the wrist. The cuff is decorated with lace to echo the design on the front of the blouse

The blouse can be made in white or black poly cotton which can easily be washed

and cared for at home. I will happily take on commissions for variations of this blouse in other colours or printed fabrics.
