This is a gorgeous wrap-around skirt that is perfect for dancing through woodland amongst the snowdrops. Materials: This skirt has a base of 100% cotton muslin, but I have sewn over the top layers of a variety of fabrics including lace, net and satin, which are romantically ruffled and allowed to fall in tatty tassels which will float in the breeze. Measurements: The waist measurement is 34″, which would be worn low on the waist. There is a massive cotton sash attached, so if you are layering over jeans for example, it doesn’t matter if the ends don’t meet. The cotton panel is 8″ long. The tassel length varies, but the longest is 25″ from the top. Ideas: Add fairy wings and glitter for a fairy costume. Or the bustle effect created by all the ruffles is ideal for a Steampunk or cyber punk outfit with chunky boots. Or wear with ballet shoes for an original White Swan costume from Swan Lake. NB.
