Made to Order. How fast a Made to Order can be accomplished and shipped has many many variables. If the job goes quite quickly from the start to establish and acquire all the materials and supplies and my work load is light – a Made to Order order take a relatively short period of time before it is ready to leave my shop. If the materials and supplies selection process becomes extensive, highly time consuming, complicated, daunting or otherwise challenging – without the materials and supplies on hand, the Made to Order can only move as fast as the supplies and materials become available. Also if my work load at the time you place your Made to Order is heavier, it will necessarily take longer due to other projects being in line ahead of you. I will always let a new customer with a new project know how many other projects and/or the extent of the projects/work load ahead of them is….I will let (you) know which customer # you are in the immediate/current qeue if you request such information.. If you need a Made to Order project for a particular deadline – please mention this fact to me before you place your order if possible. If you need a Made to order on deadline – another option is to pay an additional Standard $ 100 RUSH ORDER FEE (you would buy a $ 100 RUSH ORDER FEE listing). I further reserve the right to make adjustments to the RUSH FEE depending on work load, schedule in general, holidays, supplies on hand or on order, etc…IF RUSHING causes much extra time and energy for myself, my shop I may increase the price of the RUSH FEE. If there is reason to reduce the RUSH FEE, I may also at times do this. Safe to assume though that if you want your project RUSHED, the RUSH ORDER FEE minimum will be $ 100 extra. Please CONTACT this shop with any questions/concerns re: "how fast your Made to Order item can be ready". The project can take longer than 10 weeks depending on the various bullet points mentioned above including "other" unforeseen events. Made to Order work is highly variable esp as each Made to Order one of kind project I make is in essence its own prototype. I do not use molds, patterns, pre-made parts, I do not "just assemble" – I build from scratch. Thank you very much for your understanding and patience regarding this shop's time-frame to ship.

The general minimum RUSH FEE is usually $ 100 unless we agree otherwise.
You pay for the standard minimum $ 100 RUSH FEE by purchasing a $ 100 RUSH FEE listing:
The sooner you know the order is a RUSH ORDER the sooner you should make the appropriate additional RUSH FEE purchase(s).
If we agree to a RUSH FEE that is different than the standard minimum $ 100 amt this shop will need to create specifically for you a RESERVE SPECIAL AMT RUSH FEE PRIVATE LISTING for you to pay the amt of the RUSH FEE we agreed on before your order is started.

RE: NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS
Why is the payment not refundable?
The Made to Order work this shop designs and produces without using templates, (each one essentially its own prototype) takes much time and very good (multiple project) scheduling in order to be able to satisfy each customer's unique project details, specs, requests and to be able to satisfy shipping requirements timely to be able to ship each customer's order in the order they have ordered.
When a PAYMENT is taken for a new Made to Order job – the job is placed on calendar and a slot of work time and some materials are put in que and consideration. If people randomly place a Made to Order order, hold my calendar (and hold my materials) and then randomly cancel, I may have lost other work, may have lost other customers, may have lost other income, may have lost opportunities to show and sell my work as vendor, etc…. Know that I stop taking orders for a certain block of time – knowing that I can only fulfill so many Made to Orders in any particular block of time.
If you hold a calendar spot and then at any point out change your mind – it is quite likely that another customer could have been booked, but was not due to your owning that time on my calendar. It is further possible that I may turn down opportunities to vend knowing that I must stay in the shop to work on your order.
Additionally, I may have earmarked materials for your project and then bought something new for another customer. Then you cancel your project and I have already unnecessarily incurred materials expenses which disturbs my small business cash flow.
For this type of Made to Order work there are several reasons why I ask that my customers commit to me with a non-refundable PAID IN FULL ONE TIME PAYMENT for Made to Order projects re and I commit to them with professional follow through.
This is particularly sensitive with wedding orders, costumes for events, gifts and other deadline oriented work (which is alot of what I do).
Please be committed to working with me by placing your PAID IN FULL Made to Order order and I will be committed to working with you by professional follow through, getting you what you ordered when you need it. Thank you very much for your understanding.

RE: SENDING ME SOME OF YOUR OWN MATERIALS TO INCORPORATE
If you send me some of your own materials and you want any of them returned, ALL shipping costs in either direction are solely the responsibility of you, the buyer.
Return shipping costs do NOT come out of the non-refundable Made to Order PAYMENT IN FULL.
I will ship your things back insured if you pay for them to be insured.
I always ship with tracking.
Anything left in this shop unclaimed for more than 10 weeks becomes shop property.
This shop simply cannot store everyone's materials indefinitely (just dont have the space, sorry!)
Some materials you send may not be appropriate for the project at hand. For example some leathers are too heavy, too cracked esp if vintage (will break), not the right size/shape, etc..That goes for any other types of items you may send – they simply may not work for the project we are designing……so just be aware that we may not be able to use anything/ everything you send me unfortunately.
RE: TRADING YOUR MATERIALS FOR MY TIME and LABOR:
I generally like to be paid monetarily for my work. I will consider a partial reduction on an order if the customer has something very unique, hard to find, vintage, very special to offer, but I definitely do not trade my time and labor for generic easy to acquire materials.
