Very Poor,
What I found here though was something that doesn’t really aid any people at all, with perhaps a bit on drawing a basic torso shape being the exception. The language here is pretty bad, like it has been put through some basic translation program and printed as is. This book tells you to get different pencils and erasers for different effects, but it doesn’t explain really what the different coding on pencils means, which could be troublesome for those who don’t already know. It also tells you to get a selection of paintbrushes, but doesn’t give any reason why.
In all I found this book to be a waste of time, although I love the cover. Unfortunately, like so many of these type books that are currently being placed on here, the author has good intentions, but doesn’t really have the language skills or knowledge to be able to teach coherently.

Don’t waste you money.,
As a guide teaching you ‘how to draw’ one would expect it to be properly illustrated. It isn’t. There are a couple of line drawings which are incomplete and not particularly helpful. For example the text states the torso for men and women is different, but doesn’t explain why (obviously I know the physical difference) or how to draw these differences. There is a demonstration on how to draw a woman (no arms, or legs mind you) with useful comments like “next you will draw all of the shirt and the buttons.” You are told to draw a torso shape and divide into four sections, but not why and no further reference is made to them.
There are also no steampunk images in the book other than the cute cat on the front, so if you are looking for inspiration, as the author regularly states – go to the internet to get some ideas. Hmmm, surely that is why people choose to purchase such a book.
The cover is the only thing going for this book, as the text is poorly written and would have benefited from a native English proof-reader. I don’t really need an art book to tell me “you don’t really want to sit in a place where you feel headache or back pain after a certain time”. I want a ‘How to draw’ art book to do exactly that – teach me ‘how to draw’.
