A friend from work told me bef

ore Christmas that his wife wanted a print of one of my older pieces, “Rain to Rust” from 2012. That prompted me to redraw the piece so his wife had a choice between the old piece, this one, or keeping both.

I had intended on revisiting this concept anyway because I feel like it was the strongest piece I’d from 2012. 17-year-old me had a good sense of character design and atmosphere, bu

t lacked proper execution and discipline. It was really fun to fully realize this piece now; not only have I learned a lot within the past six years, but this is also the best way to start the new year.
