TGT Studios Nixie Clock Series is a range of handmade, premium nixie tube clocks. Each clock is made in Vancouver, BC and each is unique. There are currently over 100 TGT Studios Nixie Tube Clocks in houses and galleries throughout the world.
WHAT IS THE CLOCK MADE FROM?
I select all my wood personally, from rough stock, and process it no differently than I would material for a piece of fine furniture. All of my woods are chosen specifically for quality, figuring (where possible), and appropriateness of grain. I only use premium hardwoods and none of my woods are stained or dyed in any way. The hardware is a combination of brass, steel, plastic, and chrome/copper finishes.
HOW DOES THE CLOCK WORK?
A nixie tube is a cold-cathode low-pressure vacuum tube that lights a series of digit filaments surrounded by a blend of neon gas. A small electrical current is then passed through the tube, lighting the digit filament. Despite this charge, nixie tubes operate at a very low temperature and are cool to the touch. The clock can be operated in any country, regardless of electric current. All knobs on the face of the clock are ornamental as the controls are contained within the plexiglass housing for ease of repair and tube replacement.
STEAMPUNK NIXIE TUBE CLOCK FEATURES
-The clock can be easily programmed for time, including auto-detection with GPS. (GPS sold separately)
-The clock also features a night mode (can be dimmed during nighttime hours).
-The clock has a programmable alarm (beep only) and snooze function.
-The clock has 3 separate RGB LED's installed, and they are fully configurable. This provides for over 700 different variants of backlight colour, which can be programmed for every hour. Choices!

The Steampunk Nixie Clock is approximately 15" x "6 x 10" .
This clock is made to order, please approximately 2-3 weeks for production.
