Sexy 1940s bustier top with black velvet, black and gold "lace" detail and bullet bra style bust. Chevron-style pattern that Vs in the middle for a feminine silhouette. Fastens up the back with hook and eye closures. Designed in Italy for The Spanish Main by Contessa Bernardini.
The lady I purchased this from said it was a western costume used in a Mae West film. She had no proof but it does have a hand-written inventory tag sewn inside. I'll have to watch My Little Chickadee a little closer next time…
Excellent vintage condition. One small stain inside lining, not seen when worn.
