I made this lamp with the starship Enterprise in the back of my mind 😉
The base is solid wood with chrome polished metal bandages and cones.
The back part is of copper and the socket is and very old bakelite socket and a really luck that I have find it because it fits perfect aswel in dimensions as shape of the total.
On both sides a sparking plug (Mercedes plug 😉 and on that plug I have mounted a metal funnel.
Those funnels are never used and brand new ear funnels of a medician who had them stored in a dresser.
On the left the electrical part giving the idea that the starship is powered by that part.
There is NO connection to the power with that part, just pure fantasy.
It costed me a really long time to fit the radio tubes on that part aswel the warning light dashboard with the extra small bulb.
(again, that part is pure image building, no connection to power, 100% safe)
The Starship is mounted on a metal base and it's movable to any direction horizontal.
I made that movable because perhaps you would like to give it a slight different angle in your living room because that could make it more fitting with the rest of the room.
The dimensions are 13" x 13", therefore the balance is correct, it feels more pleasant if the dimensions are in perspective.
The power cord is 2 meters long with a switch.
