I would like to inquire about customizing a pair of these for my use. I am looking for a more functional pair that is more for working in the forest as opposed to simply dressing up. Specifically heavy waxed canvas straps with velcro instead of the leather and buckles -or leather with heavy velcro type attachments. The buckles fall apart in heavy use for work. I cannot tell from the pictures, but I would need the straps on the outside of the foot/boot instead of on the inside of part of the leg – perhaps they are on the outside and I am just not seeing that. Lastly, is this leather heavy enough to stand up to some logging and ranch work?
