Ruffled Steampunk Shorts. 100% cotton. Is that a dirigible in your pocket or do you just love my knickers?
Your cosplay has just reached an interesting new level. Kick up your heels, show some ruffle, get comfy, and enjoy the charm of 1800's style underpants. These work fine as shorts for regular wear, but somehow become more provocative when worn under a skirt…like Victorian unmentionables.
I design the front of the waistband smooth and flat to keep things trim. The back side has petite elastic to gather over the butt. Easy on and off. This lightweight Nepali cotton is fabulous and has an antique character. Small trim with wooden button accent adds charm.
These are just slightly low in the rise, intended to hang below your waist, thus keeping the smallest part of your waist uncluttered. This pattern has good curve and contour, so while the fit is meant to be roomy, they don't look baggy. You'll want to have wiggle room in your size so you're not asking light cotton to do the job of spandex.

SIZE MEASUREMENTS:
Small = 27" slack waist, stretches open to 38". Darts add room to hip which is 44" around. Model is 36" at fullest and is modeling the small. I am 37 1/2" in the hips today and while small fits fine, medium fits better. Waistband to ruffle hem is 13 1/2" long.
Medium = 28" slack waist, stretches open to 40". Darts add room to hip which is 46" around. Again, my hips are 37 1/2" and this size looks and feels great on me. Waistband to ruffle hem is 13 1/2" long.
Large = 29" slack waist, stretches open to 41". Darts add room to hip which is 48" around.
Waistband to ruffle hem is 14" long.
Extra large = 31" slack waist, stretches open to 42". Darts add room to hip which is 49". waistband to ruffle hem is 15"
