   Ordered for my first foray into the world of Steampunk. I wasn’t expecting much for the price, especially as I’d seen the price of other hats and that this included the goggles. I ordered 2 – the black bowler with bronze goggles and the (short) satin top hat with silver goggles as I couldn’t decide which to get. Both hats are very basic (unsurprisingly) but they are sturdy (don’t expect lining although the satin one is satin on all the inside as well as the outside – but then it is only 6.99!) And they are material not plastic.
   I was impressed by the goggles tho’ and one thing to note, that I didn’t realize till my friend told me, is that the front bit of the lenses screw off and there is a bit of clear glass as well as a washer and the tinted lens. This means that you can put things between them if you want to personalize them (as most Steampunkers probably would)
   I did knock off one star as the threads on the silver goggles aren’t quite right they are a bit hard to undo. The top edge of the satin hat also looked like it had had a bump, but as it’s likely to get a few more with me and was not expensive, I haven’t bothered to look at getting it replaced but felt that I couldn’t say it was perfect when it wasn’t.

   For the price I really wasn’t expecting this to be much good, but I was hoping it might just be OK for a one-off steampunk event I was going to. Wow! The quality is much, much higher than I was expecting. The bowler hat is nice and firm and the goggles require close inspection to tell that they are actually plastic, not metal.

   We go to a couple of festivals and wanted a festival hat.Liked the look and bought it on a whim, it arrived very quickly and well packed. I Love It…Very surprised at the excellent quality of both the hat and the goggles. Got some great comments and just smile when I wear it. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a fun hat
