Highly detailed and glowing with soft colour, this necklace is appropriate for not only everyday attire but also as a distinctive accent to a steampunk costume. Both silver and bronze/brass ox pieces have purposely been used in this necklace, making it a very versatile piece when it comes accenting a variety of outfits.
It begins with a silver toned crescent shaped base. Atop it are affixed an antique typewriter key with a sun/moon (you decide) face in its centre. This sun is flanked by two sets of wings – one in silver tone and the other in brass ox. Both wings have been brushed with glazes – the silver ones with subtle gold, and the brass with verdigris.
From the bottom edge of the pendant dangle silver and bronze toned stars along with crystal beads sparkling in bronze and verdigris tones. From the centre of the pendant, below a crystal bead, is an antique key. The key has been meticulously embellished with a vintage Elgin watch (which is further accented with extra vintage gears and a ruby) and an array of vintage gears and other watch movement parts to give it a mechanical appearance.
The entire pendant measures 4" in length x 2" in width and is equipped with a handmade chain measuring 23". The silver toned chain is bisected by two lengths of bronze toned metal beaded chain.
