This steampunk necklace features a heavily embellished antique key with a natural patina so dark it almost appears to be black with age.
The top of the key is fitted with a vintage watch movement. It is embellished with extra layers of gears in three locations, two of which are topped with crystals – one clear diamantine and the other amber. The reverse side features wings brushed front and back with a verdigris glaze. Below this assemblage is affixed a highly detailed owl. The owl is also finished with glazes to give it an antiqued appearance. Below the owl running the length of the barrel are a selection of tiny gears, two of which are fitted with ruby chips. The key bit is enhanced with layered vintage watch movement gears topped with another clear diamantine crystal.
The pendant measures 3 1/4" in length x 1 1/4" in width and is equipped with a 20" chain.
