   Yes, I read the reviews, so I knew that most people deemed it as a book for kids. I wanted to give it a try. The story it tells, how it is told, the items produced and the means used are obviously addressed to a younger public. Nonetheless, there are some suggestions that could be useful for a larger audience; after all, not everyone who dwells in the steampunk world can access to powerful tools. While most of these items look like toys and there is no way around it, some of the means used can be applied with better results to more ambitious projects: e.g. how to make a harness, install led strings, use split braids, produce and use a cheaper substitute to leather, etc…
   In conclusion, if you want to introduce some creative kids to the wonders of DIY steampunk, this is a brilliant point to start; if you are a mildly experienced cosplayer with limited means, you might still find some useful suggestions but do not expect too much from it; if you are a master of the steam, what are you doing here looking for books??

   Unfortunately this book contains projects which are constructed using really poor techniques and inappropriate materials quite frankly they look like low end school projects sung techniques seen in primary school. It is not possible to make googles using tin lids and stapling them together! Seriously this is not only a silly technique shut it won’t actually work successfully.
   Really disappointed with this book.
