Choc full of gears repurpose3d from defunct mechanical watches, this charming resin cabochon – hand cast by my own hand – is set off perfectly by a lovely Victorian style brass mounting. The bottom dangle is another of my signature steampunk cabs, dangling via a hand forged brass bail. Note the tint gear and stainless steel bolt holding it in place. It's a nice little detail.
The gold plated brass brooch hardware is riveted in place for strength. It's the traditional pin and catch style hardware, with the added bonus of a bail so you can wear this piece on your favorite chain. I am including a marvelous 24 inch vintage brass rope chain, but it would harmonize with just about any color and style of chain you prefer.
The throat of the pin is 1 inch (26mm). The brooch measures 3-3/4 by 1-3/4 inches (85mm x 46mm) . Signed on the back.
