Vintage Wicked Witch of the West Costume. This is a black two piece moire satin bodice and skirt set. This is a reproduction piece that was most likely made for the theater in the 40s and i
s still quite wearable. It is a Victorian era look but is clearly not Victorian as it has a metal side zipper in the skirt and the inside has been finished with pinking shears.The bodice has 7 jet black shiny buttons, leg-o-mutton style puffed sleeves with cuffs, a flared peplum and boning
in the side seams. Please note, there is a 2 inch area where the fabric has started to split in the back of the bodice near the waist that can be patched or mended. Please see photo.The skirt fits like a trumpet skirt and is made up of several godets and is quite flared. There is also a detachable bus
tle piece that is worn like a belt that can be removed if desired. The skirt has a button and metal side zipper.Please note this is a one of a kind item. The hat is NOT included
