To make these earrings I used a couple of ornate silver lacy charms that serve as the "base" for the compasses. These charms are made from brass.
I coupled the charms with a pair of gorgeous blue glass beads. The technique used in these beads make them look like they've been at the bottom of the ocean for decades. Just love them.
These lovely working compass earrings are just 1.5 inches long. This is a great length that anyone can wear.
For these compass earrings, I used hypoallergenic surgical steel leverback earwires. These earwires are good for everyone but especially great for those with sensitive ear lobes.
