CARAUT-ALTERED – Military style denim jacket upcycled with Steampunk inspired designs. Junior size Small.
We found this little gem in a small thrift store missing 14 of its 18 buttons and in need of a few repairs. The jacket has a fantastic, fitted, Russian style military design. We added metallic gold/black fabric to the back, front, and redesigned the cuffs. This fabric has a natural distressed look to maintain the vintage look. A pin tuck style ruffle was added to the lower back, and an intricate embroidery in metallic copper, gold and silky black with gears and scrolls to add some Steampunk styling. We added the same gold fabric to the front and replaced the original denim button bands over the fabric. For the finishing touches we replaced the missing buttons with some vintage finds A truly unique fashion item!
