Victorian Womans Bustle Walking Dress in a historically accurate design. This 3 piece outfit will look great at your next Victorian or Steampunk Event. Very flattering bustle over skirt just sets off this dress with a pop of design.

This dress is a hand drawn pattern after several drawings in the Harper's Bazaar Magazine from the 19th century. I combined many of the typical features in this lovely dress but switched them around to blend all the best into one simple dress.

Constructed from a lightweight cotton fabric. The lightweight fabric makes this dress easy to care for and wonderful to wear as it breathes.

Bodice is a cuirass bodice and is typical throughout the 19th century. This one is made specifically to wear with a formal bustle.

The front has a square neckline and this style of neck is very flattering to almost all figure types. Buttons up the front with either covered button or metal buttons, your choice. There is a small half collar at the back of the neck to give this bodice a bit of design style. The front of the bodice and neck are edged with a hand made piping.

Bodice has a 2 piece fitted sleeve with a small cuff. Cuff is edged with hand made piping that matches the over skirt fabric. The sleeves angle as was typical during that time period. The 2 piece and the curve allow for a better and more flattering fit on the arm.

The back of the bodice flares out at the bottom and lays nicely on top of the bustle. Bodice is completely lined with a coordinating fabric.

Underskirt is a typical 5 gore design skirt. It is cut to lay flat in the front and bustles in the back allowing for room to accommodate a bustle pillow or formal bustle. Skirt is unlined but all seams are serged and finished.

Over skirt is made from a coordinating lightweight cotton print. The bustle has many pickups and bustles in the skirt and is adjustable in the very back. You can adjust the length of the over skirt back with ties inside the over skirt. This allows for many looks in your outfit.

The piping in the outfit is all handmade and is done with the contrasting fabric of the over skirt. This draws the whole outfit together nicely. Very sophisticated and stylish design and yet simple.
