A completely and absolutely fantastical Steampunk Airship Captains outfit. Perfect for any Victorian or Steampunk lady adventurer, wanting to strut her stuff in style!
This a one-of-a-kind complete ensemble has been featured in both the International Steampunk Fashions Book and the book of 1000 Steampunk Creations!
I made the original outfit (don't worry, I'm not stealing someone else's design… that's me in the picture!), and this listing is for a complete outfit made for you, in your choice of fabric!
It's simple, I'll tell you how much fabric I'll need for your size, you send your choice of fabric to me (or have it send directly from your seller) and I'll make you your very own, self designed outfit!
Alternatively, we can work together to choose a fabric, which I can order for you, at an additional cost if preferred.
Your outfit will include:
* Hand made bolero jacket, with cropped sleeve and tassel trim detail
* Hand made bustle over skirt, with tassel trim detail
* Hand made mini top hat, decorated with wire 'feathers' watch parts and wooden clock gears.
The bustle skirt is made to a vintage style pattern, which drapes lovely to the front, and has a cute and sexy bustle to the rear. The bustle is trimmed with a lovely vintage style tasselled trim. The bustle fastens to the side with hidden hooks and eyes. The bustle to the back is lined and stiffened with netting, to really make the bustles 'puff' up!
The bolero jacket is also hand made using a customised jacket pattern, to ensure the arms are covered to the elbow. They work perfectly with a great full sleeved vintage style blouse worn beneath. The jacket fastens with 4 black frog fasteners with the lower hemline trimmed with the same tasselled fringe as the bustle, it makes a perfect addition to this gorgeous ensemble.
The mini topper is made from scratch, using milliners quality buckram, fully handmade and hand stitched, covered with your choice if fabric to match the jacket and bustle. The hat has three hidden elastic loops allowing for a choice of headband, comb or clips/grips, to ensure the perfect 'jaunty angle' and comfortable fit. The hat has is fully dressed with hand curled copper and silver (effect) wire 'feathers' and a dark brown ribbon to the the brim. To complete the look, I attach a vintage pocket watch movement, complete with watch face to the front of the hat (see the picture of the model wearing this outfit), and to the rear, there is another complete watch mechanism, with wooden cogs positioned to each side.
Absolutely PERFECT for any Steampunk or Dieselpunk adventuring lady, who's simply looking to outshine her airship crew!
The size of the outfit in the pictures is approximately size 10/12 UK size, but I can make the outfit to any size from a UK 8 to UK 14. It looks perfect worn with a skirt, bloomers or culottes. Or if you're really feeling naughty, on it's own!!
