This is a variation of our ever popular Parlour Bustle Skirt with long voluminous drapery at the back which sweeps almost to the floor. It can be worn over our underskirt for a really dramatic effect. Or it can be worn on it’s own for a more daring, alternative style.
The front features elegant apron drapery, while random ruching at the back creates the volume. There is enough excess in the fabric to wear a bustle pad if you desire for that extra historical detail.
The victorian jacket is taken from an original victorian fashion plate and features bolero styling at the front with a high neck, mandarin collar and single hook and eye fastening at the front. At the back the panelling sweeps down and flares out in a peplum which sits elegantly over the bustle. The sleeves feature light gathering at the shoulder and taper down to the wrist with lace trim to match the bustle.
Shown in a wine coloured shantung polyester fabric trimmed with black lace, this bustle skirt can be made in a huge variety of colours from purples and pinks to silvers and blues. Please ask if you have a colour in mind as I have photos of my colour charts. There are too many colours to show here. Poly shantung is easy to care for and can be machine washed.
