GARMENTS listed in my shop are 20 plus years old.
I am a discriminate buyer. My items come from estate sales, resale shops and through private collections. I am quite choosy and will not sell an item unless I love it myself. In most cases I cannot tell you the history of the item from the previous owner. I can only list and describe what I see. Vintage clothing is my specialty. Please keep in mind as a buyer that these are used items. There is expected wear and tear and I do my best to mention what needs mentioning.
There are no returns on any item that does not fit or is the wrong color or you've changed your mind. I measure these carefully and list all imperfections I find. It is up to you, as the buyer to make sure you are educated on the purchase before making it. So please convo me and ask questions if you are unsure. I am most happy to provide more photos, measurements and info. If I overlook something, I apologize and ask that you please contact me first to resolve the issue. REMEMBER: Vintage items have had a previous life. Rarely, will you get a MINT piece so expect a few blemishes and signs of wear.
Condition Chart:
MINT – Flawless; like new or new condition
EXCELLENT – No flaws or has a minor flaw and/or repair or two that is not obvious and does not compromise wearability
VERY GOOD – Minor flaws that need a repair/cleaning and are slightly obvious but can still be worn and does not compromise wearability
FAIR – Several flaws that need some attention/repair before being worn
STUDY – Multiple flaws and would need to be reconstructed, salvaged for material or used for study
In most cases I cannot tell you the history of an item. I am unable to tell you if it comes from a smoke free, pet free home. I do have a family of cats and dogs but they are never allowed into the workspace and garment storage area of my home.
I measure all things across from left seam to right seam on the front of the garment. So the measurement given can be doubled for bust, waist, hips. From shoulder to hem for length and from shoulder to waist for bodice length. Sleeve is measured from the shoulder point to end of cuff. The best way to gauge fit is to take something you love that fits well and compare by measuring the same way. Though an item is marked a certain size, always go by the measurements given since vintage sizing is different than contemporary sizing today.
