The Baron lives on a forgotten moon, once visited by explorers Gerald and Cecil Marigold in 1822. The brothers went traveling in their steam powered rocket ship to space and soon became lost. Swept across the stars with no hope, their expedition seemed doomed! They awoke one day with an almighty bang! They had crash landed on a bizarre sandy planet with weird rocky outcrops. Gerald and Cecil chose to explore the planet for food and help. They came across Edgar watching on a vast rocky canyon. Gerald and Cecil told the wise and jolly beast of their turbulent tales of how they got to the planet. Edgar saved them as he relinquished the secret of the planet. Deep within the ground there were burrows of rich root vegetables called Marrowsheers. They gave the explorers immense strength after feasting on them! Whilst also giving them plentiful supplies to travel back home. They boiled and fermented the Marrowsheers to produce a magical rocket fuel! They were very grateful to the Baron and in return invited him to visit Earth. He did and reunited with them at the Great Exhibition in 1851!
