Just to clarify, it’s a skirt and corset. They’re two separate things and that’s not an issue at all. The skirt was really good quality and I really liked it. The issue was… the corset…
OH! How I REALLY wanted to like the corset.
It’s beautiful and is exactly what the picture shows. Now… the issue is that I have a few corsets and they’re all decent to high quality… so I guess I’ve been spoiled in that sense (Thankfully though, because of this I was able to use one of my other corsets as a top instead). This corset isn’t a very high quality
With normal corsets, you buy a size or two bigger because they’re always too small (It’s kinda the purpose), I did that here and the corset laced all the way up and was too loose still. It’s got boning (is that how you spell it?) and everything in it, but the fabric just feels… costume-like.
To be fair, it probably is a costume. If you buy your own normal size (which I would recommend), it should be fine. But if you’re a bigger girl and wanna chance a smaller size, hoping it will pull everything in and shape you… I wouldn’t recommend it. I offered the corset top to my larger friend to try on because she wanted to and we managed to tie is all up and it did shap
