Find yourself in the midst of fairies with this whimsical lilac/mauve corset bodice made from 100% silk dupioni. Perfect for Renaissance Faires, Halloween, Cosplay, or just frolicking around a field, this corset will be a timeless addition to your costume wardrobe.
Silk dupioni is woven using the threads from two or more silk worm cocoons, which creates a rich and slubby surface texture. These naturally occuring "slubs" are in no way a defect of the fabric, but a reminder of the natural origins of the fiber.
Every corset in my shop is hand-crafted and thoughtfully designed. After you place your order, I will contact you regarding the measurements I need for making this custom-made corset especially for you. This corset features:
-Tight weave cotton canvas lining for durability and strength
-Hand-set bronze grommets
-Ten rows of body-shaping synthetic whalebone boning, which conforms to your shape as your body heat slowly softens the plastic. This boning is specially sourced to match the flexibility and strength of whalebone, which was traditionally used in corsets for hundreds of years (If you are interested in steel boning, it is available as an upgrade for an additional $30).
-4 yards of satin lacing ribbon
-Removable modesty panel so you can wear your corset with or without additional coverage at the lace-up opening
STANDARD SIZING: Please refer to the size chart in the last photo of this listing. Please check the sizing information carefully! Corsets do not fit like standard sizes. If your measurements are between sizes but very close, choose the size that fits more closely to your largest measurement. If your measurements do not fall within these standard sizes, select "Custom" to have your bodice made perfectly to fit your measurements. See below for details. Questions about sizing? When you place your order, I will send you a measurement chart with the measurements I need to make your custom order. Please check your email within 24 hours so as not to delay the production of your corset.
