Knee length ruched skirt – perfect for layering, wearing over trousers, or with a petticoat.
This Steampunk skirt is gathered along the seams in five places, with a flat front panel, Victoriana bustle style. This elegant ‘swallowtail’ back is inspired by lovely c19th polonaise dresses, except, you know, you can do modern things like hit the dancefloor, hang out at the summer festival and/or ride your bicycle to uni in it. The waistband is comfortably elasticated and the skirt is unlined (standard advice about the transparency of light coloured cotton applies if you plan to order this in Antique Ivory, so wear with a petticoat or layered over something…or not, if that’s how you roll). Skirt should be knee-length in a woman of average height (approx 5’6”).
Please note the design has been very slightly updated and improved from the one pictured – a different fabric selection is available to choose, and the front panel will now be made nice and flat without the central front seam.
