For sale here is a leather pouch made by me at my workshop in Yorkshire.

This example is made from a soft, brown calfskin with black cor

d. It is approximately 13cm tall and 12cm wide at the base giving a volume of ~0.5L.

The pouch is saddle stitched by hand with strong tiger thread and the

n turned inside out so all the seams are hidden on the inside.

This traditional style of pouch has been around for thousands of years and has a multitude of uses! Tra

ditionally used as a coin or medicine pouch today these could be used for any of the following:

– a small possibles pouch
– bushcraft use e.g. for a fire lighting kit or flint

and steel
– a pouch for camp food such as rice or coffee (if you add a plastic food bag as a liner)
– ammunition
– LARP or other costumes
– keepsakes
– marbles or other toys for children

… and anything else you can think of!

The bag closes with a length of 550 parachute cord and a high quality cord lock w

hich makes it easy to open and close and doesn’t require tying any knots or bows. You could easily change the cord for a different colour if you wanted to.

You can see me making one of these pouches here:
